Bears Player Says Thanksgiving Rematch With Lions Is "Easy W"

Chicago swept Detroit last season.

The Lions are likely to host the Bears on Thanksgiving in 2019 for the second year in a row, and Chicago receiver Taylor Gabriel personally can't wait.

"Easy W," he tweeted on Monday upon hearing the news.

Gabriel has since deleted the tweet, but it's easy to see where he's coming from.

The Bears swept the Lions last season, including a 23-16 win at Ford Field on Thanksgiving with backup quarterback Chase Daniel under center. Gabriel caught seven passes for 49 yards in that game.

And Gabriel, who's entering his second season in Chicago, is 3-0 against the Lions in his career. He made five catches for 79 yards and a touchdown as a member the Falcons in Atlanta's controversial win in Detroit in 2017.

In his first season with the Bears, Gabriel finished third on the team in receiving with 688 yards and chipped in two touchdowns.

It was reported on Monday that a Lions-Bears rematch on Thanksgiving is in the cards for the 2019 season.
