DETROIT (97.1 THE TICKET) - The Lions losing culture showing up again says The Ticket's Pat Caputo.

"The whining of the players, there's been a lot of it, kind of off-the-record, some in the administration ... that somehow Matt Patricia has lost the team."

Here's the one possible defense of Matt Patricia and his dismal start as Lions coach says Caputo:

There's a possibility here that what Matt Patricia is doing is actually doing the right things, a possibility, to change that losing culture.

"If the players don't want to pay the price - I think the last thing this town wants to hear is that 'they're working us too hard. We're worn out. The coaching staff is too tough.'"

This is an organization that hasn't won in well over half a century.

He's getting resistance from players that have basically been pretty mediocre.

"It's time to change that losing culture," says Caputo.
