Lions Reportedly Pursuing Free Agent WR Dontrelle Inman

He's set to meet with the team on Tuesday.

Already this offseason, the Lions have signed wide receivers Danny Amendola and TommyLee Lewis and tight end Jesse James. And they may not be done adding weapons for Matthew Stafford.

Per Ian Rapoport, free agent wide receiver Dontrelle Inman is set to visit with the Lions on Tuesday.

In nine games with the Colts last season, Inman caught 28 passes for 304 yards and three touchdowns.

He's a tall outside target with the ability to stretch the field. That would make him a nice complement to the likes of Amendola and Lewis.

The Lions receiving core also features Marvin Jones and Kenny Golladay.

Inman, 30, went undrafted in 2011, then spent a couple of years in the CFL with the Toronto Argonauts. He latched on with the Chargers in 2014, where he made his name.

He caught 58 passes for 810 yards and four touchdowns -- all career highs -- with San Diego in 2016.

Inman was traded to the Bears in 2017, then signed with the Colts last offseason. He said earlier this year he wants to remain in Indianapolis, but negotiations on a new contract apparently haven't gotten far.

On Tuesday, the Lions will hope to lure him to Detroit.
