GREEN BAY, Wisc. (97.1 The Ticket) -- A win in Sunday's season finale at Green Bay would not benefit the Lions in any way, other than maybe a little boost in morale for the players.

In fact, a win had the potential to hurt the Lions' draft position.

But that didn't stop them from getting out to a 14-0 lead in the second quarter, thanks to a trick play.

On 4th and 3 inside the Packers' 10-yard-line, the Lions opted to fake a field goal. After taking the direct snap, kicker Matt Prater threw a dime to tight end Levine Toilolo in the corner of the end zone.

The Lions went on to blank the Packers 31-0 for their first shutout at Lambeau Field since 1970.

Though the game has no bearing on the playoff picture, color analyst greenhorn Pat McAfee couldn't have been more excited.

The former Colts punter and Barstool radio show host went bananas for Prater.

"Matt Prater has the NFL's longest field goal," McAfee said in his broadcasting debut. "He's a man who's a legend. He's kicked long balls, he's kicked game-winners, and her at Lambeau in December, gives a cadence with the leg lift like Peyton Manning, no laces and delivers a dime in the corner of the end zone for a touchdown 13, about to be 14-nothing lead in Green Bay. For The Brand."

The only question -- what was better? Prater's pass or McAfee's call?
