ANN ARBOR, Mich. (97.1 The Ticket)  -- After the Michigan football team announced last week it would be installing new blue end zones at Michigan Stadium, the change is now complete.

The Big House will look a little bit different this fall, boasting for the first time colored end zones, as opposed to its traditional no-fill back ground.

The maize lettering remains, but the new blue backdrop gives a bit of flair to the field. The team also opted to do away with the alternating shades of green turf every five yards.

Michigan kicks off the 2018 season at Notre Dame on Sept. 1 and will play its first home game on the new field against Western Michigan a week later on Sept. 8.
