We're only in week two of Life Without Sports, and it's already wearing us down. 

No March Madness. No NBA. No NHL. And no MLB, which under normal circumstances would be starting the season this week.

The Tigers were set to open play Thursday in Cleveland. Who knows when they'll open play now. 

Mid-may is the hope. Sometime later this summer might be the more realistic expectation. And even that's beginning to feel optimistic, as the coronavirus continues to spread across the country. 

To sum up our feelings, let's turn to this 11-year-old who wrote a love note to baseball. 

"Dear Baseball," he began. 

"I miss you so much. Every day I am hitting and pitching into the net in my garage. Every day I wake up wishing to play the game with my teammates. What I love about you is that feeling when my adrenaline starts pumping in my veins when I make a diving catch, step up to the plate and steal a base. It is comforting to know you will come back."
