Count Andre Drummond among those who believed he'd remain in Detroit past the trade deadline.

So when Drummond got the news that he'd been shipped to Cleveland, he bristled at the fact the Pistons gave him no forewarning.

"If there’s one thing I learned about the NBA, there’s no friends or loyalty," Drummond wrote on Twitter. "I’ve given my heart and soul to the Pistons, and to have this happen with no heads up makes me realize even more that this is just a business!"

Drummond, who spent the first eight seasons of his career with the Pistons after being drafted ninth overall in 2012, went on to say, "I love you Detroit ... you will always have a special place in my heart."

Pistons Not Ready To Buy Out Reggie Jackson

The Pistons received a 2023 second-round pick and the expiring contracts of Brandon Knight and John Henson from the Cavs. They subsequently waived Tim Frazier.
