97.1 The Ticket -- The Lions have reportedly talked with multiple teams about potentially trading Pro Bowl cornerback Darius Slay, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

If a team were to trade for the Lions veteran, they would have to compensate Detroit and Slay with a new contract, according to Schefter.

Slay's contract is set to expire after the 2020 season and is due $10 million in base salary this year.

Schefter's report says other teams around the league believe Slay will ultimately be traded this offseason.

It was not clear which teams the Lions have talked to or who may be interested in the Slay.

The 29-year-old Slay has been named to the Pro Bowl each of the last three seasons. Last season he recorded two interceptions and 46 tackles for the Lions, who stumbled to a 3-12-1 record.
