The Lions made another move in free agency Thursday, adding wide receiver Geremy Davis.

Davis, who spent the last four seasons with the Chargers, is coming to Detroit on a one-year deal, according to the Detroit News

The five-year vet figures to be a key contributor for the Lions on special teams, where he's gotten the bulk of his work over his career.

He's the third player Detroit has added to its special teams unit in free agency, along with safety Jayron Kearse and cornerback Tony McRae. The Lions also re-signed safety and special teams ace Miles Killebrew.

Davis, 28, did see an expanded role on offense last season for the Chargers. He finished with just three catches for 38 yards, but he has some upside with his 6'3 frame.

So in addition to his value on special teams, Davis, a sixth-round pick out of UConn in 2015, will give the Lions some depth at wide receiver.
