Michigan State WR Cody White Leaving For NFL

He was the Spartans' best offensive player in 2019.

Michigan State will have a new leading receiver next season. 

Cody White announced Friday that he's forgoing his senior season to enter the NFL Draft. 

"East Lansing will always have a special place in my heart. Spartan Dawg for life! With that being said, after a tough decision, I have decided to pursue my lifelong dream of playing in the NFL," White wrote on Twitter. 

White led Michigan State this season with 66 catches, 922 yards and six touchdowns. He grew from an unheralded recruit in 2017 to the Spartans' best offensive player in 2019. 

"To Coach Dantonio, thank you for taking a chance on me and having faith in me all the way through," White wrote. "I could not have asked for a better man and head coach."
