The 2020 NFL Draft should be a month from today.

Will it take place as planned? We'll have to wait and see.

Either way, Mock Draft season rolls on.

And Yahoo! Sports has the latest mock that should get Lions fans excited.

After Joe Burrow goes first overall, as expected, to the Bengals, the Redskins pull a surprise and select Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa No. 2:

"Count us among the folks who believe Rivera has to be a huge Tagovailoa fan. Many felt Rivera freely offering up the information on the Redskins’ scouting combine meeting with Tua was a ruse intended to drum up trade interest. Perhaps it was, and whatever team wants him might have to go even higher than Detroit to get him ...

"A trade down absolutely has to be on the table for the Redskins, and beyond that it wouldn’t be a total stunner if they wanted to upgrade at QB. Tagovailoa’s short but sweet workout video suggests he’s coming along nicely. Trading for Kyle Allen doesn’t prevent them from drafting Tua this high; it just gives them insurance at the position that was badly needed in the short term."

Where does that leave the Lions?

That's right, with Ohio State DE Chase Young:

"This would be a windfall for the Lions, who still lack a true difference-maker on the front four other than Trey Flowers. Young could come in and be a pro-ready pass rusher the way Nick Bosa was last year for the 49ers.

"If the first two picks go Burrow and Young, then Young’s teammate, CB Jeffrey Okudah, would be a fine choice. He’d fill a huge need, too."

Okudah still feels like the most likely pick for the Lions, whether they stay put at No. 3 or trade down. But if Young falls in their lap, you have to think they'd rush his name to the podium.
