Kobe Bryant may be gone, but his legacy in basketball will live forever.

Joining Jamie and Stoney to talk about the late Lakers Legend this morning, 2004 NBA Champion Larry Brown echoed this sentiment.

"The effect that he had on kids was incredible. So many of these young kids need a role model, like Kobe. He didn't only do it on the court. Just take what he was doing with his life after basketball. Kids need to understand that. He was one of the greatest players to ever live."

Brown coached over 2000 games in the NBA and spent 15 seasons coaching against Bryant, memorably beating his Lakers when he was head coach of the Detroit Pistons in the 2004 NBA Finals.

Bryant passed away on Sunday morning at the age of 41 in a helicopter accident. He was reportedly on his way to a basketball game with his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, who was also killed in the crash along with seven others.
