Doug, Gator, and Khang debate the possibility of Tom Brady leaving the Patriots to sign with the Lions.

Referring to an article from Vinnie Iyer of the Sporting News, Doug listed the 12 likely suitors for Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, should he leave the team in free agency. At number nine, the Detroit Lions appeared, likely due to Matthew Stafford’s back injury and how it could linger for the rest of his career. Gator prefers to go in a different direction.

“If you’ve got this ‘win-now’ edict, then that would make sense. If you’re not sure about Stafford’s back, then I’m drafting a quarterback at [No.] 3. I’m not signing Tom Brady.”

Doug felt that the direction would need to change 180 degrees if it were to play out.

“It would be a wholescale c-change though, because it does feel like a requirement for this is trading Stafford. Stafford would have to have a clean bill of health to be moved.”
