Former Lions quarterback Erik Kramer could be remembered in Detroit for leading the team to its only playoff win since 1957, which came in 1991.

Then Kramer made news in 2015 for allegedly trying to commit suicide by shooting himself. And now the media lens is back on him with TMZ reporting that his wife, Cortney Baird, is in fear for her life.

On June 13, Kramer was arrested for domestic violence in Agoura Hills, CA. Baird filed for a restraining order stating that Kramer was pushing her and throwing objects in the house at her:

Cortney says the incident proves Erik has access to guns and isn't afraid to pull the trigger.

"I am terrified that he is out looking for me at this very moment and will kill me and my daughter."

Cortney's request for a restraining order was granted -- Erik must stay 100 yards away at all times and has been ordered to move out of the family home.

Baird has filed for divorce.

Kramer played for the Lions from 1991-1993 and threw for over 3,400 yards with 23 touchdowns and 19 interceptions.
