Eminem and Michael Jordan, two GOATs. One in rap, the other in basketball.

So it would make sense that Eminem can appreciate the 'The Last Dance,' the Jordan documentary currently airing on ESPN.

"It’s incredible, it's incredible. And it's only two episodes in, but it's like nostalgia city," Eminem said on his SiriusXM station Shade 45 Friday morning, part of his "Love Your DJ" campaign to support Detroit DJ's currently out of work.

That led to Eminem sharing a hilarious story about Jordan. The two have never met, but they spoke over the phone when they collaborated on a few pair of Air Jordan's back in the day. Their conservation ended in somewhat awkward fashion.

"We were talking and everything was cool," said Eminem. "He's super cool and everything was good until we get to the end of the phone call. "I said, 'Yo man, when are you going to come to Detroit so I can dunk on you?' And it was crickets.

"I don’t remember exactly what he said, but I think he just kind of laughed and I remember getting off the phone going, 'Oh my God, I think I might have just blew it.' In my head, it was a total joke. It's so ridiculous for me to think I could dunk on Jordan, right? It's one of those things you think will be funnier in your head than when you actually say it. So I don’t know what happened after that. I don’t think he knew I was joking."

Goes to show, don't challenge the GOAT.
