Devin Gardner came out on top of a charity lip sync battle that unfolded Thursday night at the Royal Oak Music Theatre.

But that's not to say former Tigers player Andy Dirks didn't give it a college try.

Gardner and Dierks were among a bevy of local TV, radio and sports personalities who battled it out for fun and to benefit for New Day Foundation for Families, a Rochester Hills nonprofit dedicated to alleviating the financial burden of cancer.

While Gardner was suave in his gray, fitted suit, Dierks was, well, a little bit odd.

He came out in a robe vacuuming a pretend floor and moved on from there. He stripped down to an undershirt and danced with a red-headed doll, briefly writhing on the stage floor.

Eventually, he put a jacket on the mic like it was a mannequin and spins it around like a dance partner alongside the song, "I Want To Dance With Somebody."

We'll let you watch it for yourself.

What do you think, are you surprised he didn't take home the prize?
