(97.1 The Ticket) It's been seven straight losses since Bob Wojnowski wrote a "shine piece" about how wonderful he thought the Detroit's Tigers' prospects were for a great season.

"You don’t have to call the Tigers contenders or confounders. In fact, they might be neither. But you do have to take them seriously, as long as they don’t take it too seriously, and keep happily surprising everyone but themselves," Wojo wrote in the Detroit News.

He may have spoken too soon.

As part of the team's latest woes, they dismissed the much ballyhooed pitching coach Chris Bosio for "inappropriate comments." 97.1 The Ticket's Will Burchfield reported none of the players seemed entirely sure what Bosio said or to whom he was speaking.

But he was summarily dismissed, and that news had Wojo and co-host Kyle Bogey wondering ... Who else in Detroit sports should be dismissed?

"Whose time is up here in Detroit?" Bogey asked.

Bogey named Henrik Zetterberg as someone who should hit the bricks. Wojo disagreed, saying "he's still a cherished captain."

Wojo chose Victor Martinez, noting, though, he's at the end of his tenure anyway.

Here's the rest of the list, compiled from listeners and hosts.

  • Gerald called in to say Ken Holland should go -- "I think in the salary cap era he has been in the bottom third of NHL general managers in terms of production" he said. "He has not drafted very well, he has not traded very well."
  • Bill called in to say that for the Pistons between Blake Griffin, Andre Drummond and Reggie Jackson -- Jackson has to go. "That's a good one," Bogey said. "I'd keep him over Drummond," Wojo argued.
  • Overall, they agreed that if anyone in the world of sports beyond Detroit has to go it's Floyd Mayweather. "If we could just make this world-wide ... that's one guy whose time is up," Bogey said.
